A lot to do at La Suizandina
La Suizandina is the perfect starting-point for tours and excursions into the region. It is situated between the Sierra Nevada volcanoes: Tolhuaca, Llaima and Lonquimay, the later two of them belonging to the most active volcanoes in Chile. God has blessed this region with an abundance of breathtaking natural beauty. The volcanoes have formed strange moonlike landscapes and dammed the water creating intensely colored lagoons.
This region, largely untouched by tourists, offers an abundance of summertime activities, such as mountain climbing and hiking in the national parks to mountain lakes and waterfalls, as well as horseback riding and bicycle tours. In the wintertime virgin snow covered mountains invite you on snowshoe walks, downhill skiing runs and ski tours.
The National Reserve, Nalcas-Malalcahuello, the well-known Conguillío and the Tolhuaca National Park with its extraordinary flora, in particular the Araucaria Forests, impress even the most seasoned traveler.
